I am Siboniso Mbata, a passionate commercial photography student with a journey that began far from the camera. My creative path started in music. I was a self-taught music producer, fascinated by rhythm, emotion, and storytelling through sound. Over time, that same curiosity and desire to express myself visually led me to discover photography.

What began as an exploration soon became a passion. Photography allowed me to translate stories, emotions, and concepts into powerful images, blending the discipline I gained from music with the artistry of visual storytelling. This shift from sound to image has shaped how I see the world: through detail, mood, and connection.

Now, as I study and grow within the field of commercial photography, I’m committed to refining my craft while staying true to my creative roots. Whether it’s capturing portraits, products, or narratives for brands, my goal is always to create work that is authentic, impactful, and memorable.
